Would anyone have any experience or any recommendations re choosing a laptop using microsoft word or chrome google documents that has the same grunt as a PC?
I have a son who has a diability and i have huge documents re his requirements, some of which have videos half hour attached for viewing by carers, also huge medication documents with photos.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Pop your question into the "Techie" section of the forum CnJ cos this section is really for introduction then move to other sections.
I use a Toshiba Satellite i5 Laptop. I found it similar to my PC in the old days The LT does everything I could do on the PC so am very happy with it. I do use a iPad though most of the time for every day stuff.
If they are still around the i7 is faster etc than the i5.
Hope you find what you want. Keep safe.

Welcome to the forum from us too. I use a HP Pavilion with Windows 8.1 and find it can do everything I ask - but that's not probably as much as you want to do.

I agree with an HP Pavillion laptop.....we have used 2 of them for nearly 10 years and they are long lived and will do virtually everything you want!
