Has anyone using the camera mode in Wikicamps satellite finder actually seen the camera view when the satellite icon is displayed showing where in the sky it is? I only see a white screen on the phone, not what's in front of me like that shown on Wikicamps's website, although the satellite icon seems to be positioned OK judging by where the dish is pointing when I tilt the phone towards the sky. I had an Iphone 4s and initially thought the feature only worked in later phones, but it's the same with my new Iphone 6. I have Wikicamps version 8.1.14 which I believe is the most recent. Otherwise the app is great for setting up the dish.

The view you see should just be exactly what you would see on screen if you were using the phone to take a photo or to record video, with the addition of seeing the satellite. This way you could see trees on screen then move around until you see the sat between the trees & that is where you want your dish.

Hi Joe, I have an iPhone 4 with the same wiki Camps version as you, just walked outside and got the camera "shot" view with the satelite icon in the screen, also with the co-ordinates.

We use it on the Galaxy Tablet. I have found it to be very useful in pointing the dish in the correct direction bearing (Azimuth) and at the right bit of the sky.
The Camera Shot for actually seeing the position of the Satelite in the Sky has never been right on our Tablet. It gives me the actual Angle with a RED LINE on the screen where the Sat is. But interestingly the Pictogram/Hyroglyphic of the Satellite is always 90 degrees further around to the South West !!!!!!
This is no problem but an annoyance on an otherwise great piece of Kit.

Thanks for your replies - after reading them a little bell started tinkling in some obscure region of my brain. I checked the Wikicamps app in the phone's Settings, and ... voila! The camera setting was switched off. Now it's on and appears to be working as advertised, can't wait to test it tomorrow.
Cheers
