Good to see young Nick have such a great win. It will be interesting to see how he goes against the Scott in the next match.

Pity he has such a foul mouth though (heard the "F" word several times last night) and his racquet smashing/throwing sets a fine example for any juniors watching.

For goodness sake! stop the whining, and simply enjoy the tennis.

So your opinion is the only one that counts

Agree, great Tennis. Just wondering how many of you listen to the commentary - my favourite object in the house is the remote control and the mute button - can't stand Bruce Mac, Jim Courier, Sam Smith & a few others. Apparently am not alone - did a survey at the local bowling club a few days ago - of the 17 people I asked 14 of them also muted the commentary. As a matter of interest also did a survey on the cricket - 19 out of the 26 I asked did not listen to the Channel 9 team

Nick is a young man with a great future in front of him.
Like all youngsters he can be a bit brash, cut him some slack, he will learn.

I'd like to see the TV stations making full use of digital technology. One channel could transmit the video and commentary for those who are happy with the status quo, while the same program could be transmitted with the soundtrack of a microphone placed above the stands to give us the feeling of being at the game.

I love tennis, played it myself for around 20 years or so, BUT, I can't stand those screaming women, I hope they lose.
I heard this comment during a match:
"The inscription on the side of the Wimbledon gentleman's singles trophy reads, 'The All England Lawn Tennis Club Single-Handed Champion of the World".
Interesting, as most players have double handed backhands, they do qualify??

Love the tennis BUT love it more when watching by myself. I turn the sound OFF. When watching with the other half sound is UP and I have to listen to the rot coming from the TV (especially the screaming) AND the other half going crook about the screaming and the "commentary". Oh well. We only get one month of tennis every year.

I emailed Australian tennis to complain about the level of screaming and to my surprise they responded saying they are tackling the problem with young future players but claimed they could do nothing about the current crop of players so I guess I'll have to turn the volume off and get excited when screamers lose.
I would like to write to whoever controls referees but need to know who that body is, I would appreciate somebody providing .me with the contact details.
