Interesting read Pete.
Something to keep in mind, when it becomes evident to the media that a boom is occurring, you can just about bet that it has pretty well peaked, and a decline is imminent.
In fact some cynics would suggest companies like Jayco are well aware of this and are trying to talk things up.

To quote article:
Australian manufacturers built about 22,000 RVs in 2014
How many were actually sold?

when I investigated what RV to buy, Nick, the stats for 2013 was over 40,000 (cant remember exact number now - age thing lol) - but of course this included 2nd hand units and so many people buy an RV and then decide its all too hard and sell it again, or the owners get too old to be able to manage RV driving.
Pity with all these units being made that the quality didn't improve - instead the quality is rapidly dropping with prices going up !!!
From this mornings ABC on line news

Good read Pete.
