Plenty of snakes out in the rural area, rarely get them in the house but often see them outside. They have their place in the cycle of things & I have moved plenty of them on, only ever had to dispatch one very angry brown snake after the wife dropped the wheelie bin on him. Most are pythons & yellow bellied tree snakes, mostly harmless.

Interesting Doo Crew, living there as you do must make for an interesting life.
I stayed there once but many years ago. Dunmowin's were there not too long ago for a spell also.

Part of the reason we live here is for the wildlife & tree's, breeding pair of Bush Stone Curlews have been here 6-7 years, spend much time around the house at night catching bugs & raising the yearly young. Possums in the chook yard tree, only give mum the odd fresh fruit to eat when pregnant to help out. So many birds return every year, they don't bother us so we don't bother them. Snakes keep the rodents down who raid the chook food so everything has its place. Duck's, geese, King fishers, Golden lap wings, red tailed black ****atoo's, bandicoots, we get them all, they love a scratch around after I have dug up the ground or been on the ride on mower. Even get the occasional wallaby in the back paddock. The wet season is a "time of plenty" for all our non human visitors. Dry season is when the human visitors in vans & motor homes take their place in the paddock, we welcome them all.
Anything feral/domestic has a very short life span if it ventures near the native wildlife.
We have an old Blue Heeler & a house cat that only ever ventures outside in a harness & leash.
