I am going to visit my sister wholives on Nth Stradbroke island .I am leaving the tinny at afriends place in Logan as it costs nearly $200 to take it over, while my car in $112. How do they work that one out? Also Unpowered sites at Amity Pt c/van pk are $44! Isn't that ridiculous for a little hankercheif of sand. This is the same mob who didn,t like me parking and fishing from the nearby jetty. They don,t own the car park at the jetty, But act like they do. I hate greedy c/vanpark owners.I have written a complaint to the local council, but I don,t think it will do any good. Bill

If you are going on a ferry & you have a trailer attached, then you are charged by the length taken up by the rig.

I find that the only time to go to Straddie with a van is when they have their annual 'special' around Ecca time. You only pay for the vehicle.
The van park fees have gone up since we were last there.
The attached pic is of that jetty at sunset looking towards Brisbane.
Bill, you might be wasting your time with the complaint to the Council. Guess who owns the CP.

My sister used to live on Russell Isl near Sth Stradbroke and when I took my van across she arranged to get it done cheaper as she was a local. Not sure if that can still be done or done to Nth Straddie
Cheers

I just heard that the femalemanager at the c/van park was sacked for being greedy. She was cutting ropes on mored boats that were tied up to a rockwall that backs onto the van park. After numerous complaints she was sacked. Ding Dong , the witch is gone........Bill
