This is what a major intersection with no traffic lights looks like. How they are able to avoid accidents is quite remarkable.
In this time lapse video we see the intersection at Meskel Square, the nerve center of Addis Ababa , Ethiopia . While the square is a primary site for the city's large festivalsand celebrations, it is also a chaotic crossroad for thousands and thousands of vehicles daily.
I have driven in places like that and for those not used to it, it is absolutely terrifying initially.
But we have a lot to learn.
There will be no road rage and no one will be forcing their rights.
Cheers,
Peter

I think if the video was run at normal speed it would look normal - seems to be running at 4X speed so it appears chaotic.

It's like crossing the street at the Arc de Triomphe In Paris
You've got 8 lanes of traffic going around there
But as the a pedestrian you are safe as gold
There is a very big fine if you hit with your car a pedestrian
so the normal thing is just keep walking ( and you can hear the tyre's screaming around you )
