Thw window above the sink is letting rain in, question, do I have to remove the existing seal around the window, or can I put the Sica Flex straight over it?

You could clean it and put silicon over the seal.... But if it's a opening window it would be better to source exactly where the leak is coming in and repair it or re seal it.

Try closing the window and get someone to spray it with the garden hose while your inside and see exactly where the water is coming in,then you can work out if it's a rubber seal issue or just the window frame needing sealing/silicon :)

hi fran,, how you going,, ME HAD THE SAME PROBLEM,, and I fixed it buy closing the window,, between you and I,, Me has a lot of problems,, CHEERS Lockie ,, ( travel safe )

Hi Lockie, you still chasing your shadow???? miss you guys, been industrious, I put a screw up that holds the curtain rail up, I found a screw with a metal clip on the end and it worked, I think it was off a car., LOL, Yes I now Me has a lot of problems, one is he doesn't know his solar from his generator. LOL

ok, sprayed the window, no water coming in, seems it only happens if its heavy rain, or raining for a few days? Has anyone experienced this? Could the water be coming in from somewhere else? - Fran

Sliding windows, these overflow inwards when the drain holes block up. Check underneath outside, there should be several longitudinal slot holes visible, make sure they are not blocked up.

Thanx PeterD, I found out that its actually coming in from the vent ontop of the rangehood. Had a look how its all put together, will try and dismantle it tomorrow.

ok, pulled it all apart cleaned it, couldn't see any O ring, so now will get the levelling stuff.,
