Rod Taylor has died of natural causes aged 84......

If that is Rod Taylor the Australian actor, he once represented Australia in boxing at the Olympic Games and fought (lost) to the then Cassius Clay (later Muammad Ally) from the USA.
Which ever one he is RIP Rod.

I think that was Tony Madigan. Rod Taylor was not that big.

Ya spot on DMaxer ... it was Tony Madigan that fought Muhammad Ali in the Light Heavyweight class - but lost. Tony Madigan did win Bronze though.
It was RON Taylor who fought at those Olympics - in the Heavyweight class - Muhammad Ali was not in this weight division. Different bloke completely to Rod Taylor the actor.

Sorry for going off topic Rocky on the off topic forum but Tony Madigan could feel harshly done by in that decision. Everyone except those people that had the final say thought he had done enough to win.
