The National Library welcomes personal diaries, unpublished books and photographs from travellers in Australia, which they archive and make available online. They even archive certain websites which can be viewed in fifty years, long after they've disappeared from the Corporate world.
Many 'ordinary' people don't realise how important the experiences of their lives are for future generations.
When writing by old-fashioned pen and paper it is important to use acid free paper and acid free pigment ink pens.
