.....in a caravan. Has anyone got one and are you happy with it?
I have one fitted to the new "Chief" but the water is only Luke warm and would be far from suitable in colder weather.
Has anyone had this problem and overcome it and how please.

Goodmorning Dougwe
From reading the blurbs about these devices, I understood that they had a temp control thermostat. Please correct me if I am wrong.
If your case is the norm I will stop being interested in them.
Cheers

Hi Doug
Is your sink tap hot but your hand basin & shower only warm?
If that's the case it may be as easy as altering +/- on the cold water mix % going into the tempering valve.
The tempering valve is there to prevent being burnt in the shower.
If the sink water temperature is only warm there must be a thermostat there somewhere to adjust it.
Hope this is of some use.
Cheers, John

I know of a person who had this problem. The remedy was that their pump did not have sufficient flow rate. Fine for an accumulation heater but not an instantaneous.

Some tech info as requested,
Girard Demand Tankless Water Heater, Model GSWH-1M. LPG only.
There is a " 12v Gas Modulation Control " in a overhead cupboard inside the van. It is set to highest setting as we speak. I have tried all settings. The destruction manual says to purge all taps before first use which has been done. All taps are the same John (HC).
There is another van here with the same service and same problems.

Gday...
I have no personal knowledge of your heater Doug ... but I found the Owner's Manual on my best friends site (Mr Google )
Although, I would assume you already have a copy of it in the van.
Otherwise, I have nothing of further substance to offer
cheers - John

Rocky, I have tried various positions on the GMC with no success.
Ken, no valve as you describe that I can find. Someone here just had a look at the unit from outside but no adjustments to be found and none inside.

My one is a Rio Grand and has a digital temp guage which is only on when the heater is being used, eg when the taps are running. I sugest you run the taps and go and see if there is a guage on the unit.Mine gets water too hot to use. Will post pics if you want.Bill

Doug maybe the water runs to fast true the system
It needs time to heat up maybe you can turn the pressure down
( That is if it is the same or similar as JC's old system )
you can always give Chief a call
Cheers John

Thanks all, I have tried to adjust the mixer taps and seem to get warm water, much better than before.
