I hope the worker who left the door open has a guilty conscience for the rest of his life.

I'll tell you what really stinks Folks,
Most of these new Estates have an open area at the entrance, right in the middle they place a lake with a water fountain,
all open and not a fence in sight, and they get away with it,
Now if you own a pool on your property, it has to have a child proof fence and a self locking gate, if not "Look out"

John I think that is a bit harsh. The tradies were probably young guys and unaware of the little boys condition. Autism has so many different levels and unless you know a child with this condition you would not realise what they are or are not capable of. This is a very tragic accident and our thoughts should be with the little boys family not casting blame.

My thoughts are also with the family but I am sure the mother would have told the workers of her sons condition and not to leave doors open. That is my opinion.

We have a dog that likes to wander. If anyone comes into our home I or Lynne make sure the door or gate is closed behind them. It is not hard.

I'm glad the Police have investigated and found that it was the worker's fault.

It is YOU saying it was the workers fault, NOT the police, The have done a Primary Investigation, however have NOT done an offical report,
But you know better than them, This is a Horrible Tragic Case, and if it was the workmen that left a door open, Do you have any idea at all just how Bad they would be feeling,, Nah ! judging by the majority of your previous posts ? I don't think you would

I know this is very tragic indeed, how about we all take personal responsibity for us and our families, we always seem to blame others

A relative of the little boy and his family is a member of this forum and we should also consider their feelings about this incident.
They travelled some considerable distance to take part in the search but arrived too late.
Comments should concentrate on condolences and sympathy for all involved in the event, not finger pointing.
