Has anyone had anything to do with the flat water hose and/or the flat sullage hoses. (I am not sure if I posted this in the right place!!)

I have both. I'm not too happy with the sullage hose as it normally kinks where it attaches to the van - so the water builds up until the pressure is strong enough for the water to push through. To overcome that, I've put a 90degree end onto the caravan and have it on an angle so that the hose doesn't drop straight down, but on an angle and thereby reducing the kink so the water flows...

I have both.
Like 'treecrest' I am not a lover of the sullage hose, as it kinks easily and does not allow the water to freeflow.
I would not buy another and only use this as a last resort, indeed I have just purchased a new long traditional sullage hose.
The long fresh water hose I use when needed.
The slight disadvantage with this hose is that when rewinding it has to be placed in a straight line to allow all of the water in the hose to flow out. If any water remains the hose will not rewind fully onto the reel. When using it however it is easy to curl up any excess hose under the motorhome after the water has been turned on.

The major drama with flat hose is that you have to roll out the full length,

Hi , l really like our " Flatout " water hose , it's quick to use and is great quality , I use a standard sullage hose as l couldn't see a flat type working well in a gravity feed situation off vans

I agree with everyone. A big yes for flat drinking water hoses (on a reel) and a big no for flat grey water hoses. We also traveled with a short normal hose for short distances to the tap (handy also to join to the bigger one for a bit of extra length at the odd time it's needed).
