Our Lemair 2kg washing machine uses a large (60L) amount of water and weighs 16kgs (empty). I'd like to remove it to save weight, then replace it with a big bucket to wash and then use a separate dryer to spin the water out of the clothes. I see a thread from a couple of years ago about "The Laundry Pod" and it seems like a good idea. Can anyone tell me what its washing capacity is? (1kg or 2kg for example?). How much water does it use for a full load? How has it performed ? Has it lasted two years with, say, weekly use? Lastly, where can I buy it in Australia - assuming it is any good that is. Thanks.

If it's what I think it to be, it is a device that looks like a round ball on a frame and you spin it using a handle. I have seen it at Caravan & Camping shows and would imagine any decently stocked caravan dealer should be able to help you.

Aussie Paul.
Well with no response I guess the "Pod" is not a good option.
In further research, however, I came across this which looks even better...

Can anyone provide any feedback after using one of these ?
