In Victoria.
Went for a Roadworthy a month ago. Head tester mentioned in passing that he would fail a vehicle if it had a single light bar.
Hopefully the nonsense of putting black tape down the middle of the bar would be acceptable to him.

The Issue is the Light Bar is NOT A PAIR of Light's...
If you could add a Pair of Light Bars side by side you would not have an issue...
The Wording is PAIR of Lights...

More inter state idiocy I reckon. We're back in SA and now the speed limit around road works is down to 25 kph ... go figure.

Every time this comes up it always to be in contradiction to the ADR , Australian Design Rules, which states that no forward facing white light can be mounted higher than headlights fitted by the manufacturer. It seems that the police or the inspection authorities only police some of the rules some of the time so it become a game of chance rather than rule of law . May be there are a new set of rules that applies to after market accessories but I don't think so

Gday...
There seems to have been some progress in allowing the fitting of LED driving light bars to vehicles.
