opened my van today to get some things out and it was so hot inside. 35 degrees outside and with cover on van and all locked up felt heaps hotter in the van. All the windows are shut so no air movement at all.
What do others do to reduce heat in stored van over summer? I don't have a shed or carport available and just have an Aldi cover to keep just and bird droppings etc off it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers

If You have a cover over your van, why not open a roof vent or a couple of widows ?

50deg is as high as our thermometer goes...and thats what it was inside on Sunday...
We keep the 4 season vents just open plus...we open the drawers/cupboards....amazing how hot the top cupboards get..

For the last 2 yeas I have had a cover on mine but the side flap was rolled up so I could keep 2 windows open and also it allowed access to the door. It was handy that the open side was in a direction that it was not getting the brunt of the rain sun or storms. Saw no effect from having the side exposed after 2 years.

Thank you for your replies , I like the idea of a solar extraction fan Aus-Kiwi will look into that, also never thought about opening all the cupboard doors etc so think I will be doing that as well Rosco.
I don't have any hatches, that would be best because hot air rises, so will probably open rear windows a whisker KiwiJims as they have covers as well and should allow some airflow via the door vent.
First summer season parked up so looking to preserve it somehow , the plastic mouldings were so pliable the other day that I thought they might pop out!
Again thanks for some ideas.
