. . . . . tomorrow it will be hotter and dryer followed by more hot and dry. Just a reminder that Queensland is going through one of it's hottest/driest periods for a while. This means that any fuel on the ground ie fallen tree twigs, branches, leaves, dried flower blossoms, general debris etc are a fire hazard waiting to happen. Please be mindful when camping and the use of open fires. Always ensure that you create your fire place well clear of anything combustible within a confined area (rocks, old bits of tin etc), keep even just a bucket of water handy in case the fire gets away from its confines and any fires are completely out before you leave your camp site folks. I live in the bush and understand the very real threat fires can pose. Take care and happy travels everyone!

Shaking my head. After some great weather over the top we are freezing in Albany today, I think it is about 15 and the first time I have had long pants on in months.

Why would anyone need, want or be silly enough to light a fire in those conditions?

No idea Delta18 BUT there are those that do. Natural/lightning is bad enough without some F#$%^& wit doing it for kicks.

Delta i lived in the Blue Mountains of N.S.W. for more than twenty years. Every year there would be some clown who would deliberately start a fire. Four times we were placed on evacuation alert because of these idiots. PLEASE be alert when using open fires during fire season, or any season for that matter. There are enough idiots around dont be counted amongst them.
