Hi all, we are planning our next trip west and would appreciate any information on caravan parks at Wudinna and Minnipa.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Tamey,
Can't help you there, but if you google the parks in question usually you can find some independent reviews among the links etc.

Tamey,
Last time I was through there the Minnipa CP was closed. If You were desperate it is owned by the Publican & he may let You camp there, with cold shower & toilet possibly available. There is a Lions park You could camp at but better would be Pildappa rock 20ish klm out of town.
Wudinna has a small CP I think dont know anything about it though.
Hope this helps.
Mike.

Stayed at Wuddina in March/April. OK for overnight but try not to disturb owner/manager at lunch time as he does not appreciate it.

Hi Tamey, welcome to the playground.
We have just completed a trip out there.
Wudinna has a very basic park, as stated, we didnt stay there but we camped at Pildappa rock near Minnipa, a nicer site and free.
Have a look at wikicamps for the smartphone, it has comments and photos of most of these spots.
Dont buy coffee or breakfast at the servo on the Eyre Highway Poochera, very expensive, and to add insult to injury they had run out of diesel.
Safe travels

Don't know about caravan parks but the bakery at Wudinna (one Dinner) is excellent especially the Beestings, we free camped out at Pildappa Rock which is a smaller version of Wave rock and well worth the drive

If the replies below don't give you enough info - look up Badger's Caravan Park Reviews

We are currently at Kimba (Kimba Recreation Reserve) 761 in camps book. Pildappa Rock as previously mentioned would be good as a free camp. All CP's through that area are basic and at this time of the year temps are around 40+

Pildappa Rock is not a free camp.
There is an honesty box there for the honest people to use.

This spot is the Recreation Reserve on North Terrace and behind the Bowling Club. Donation required. We have camped at many camps maintained by various organisations. This is maintained by local Council and would be the best camp we have stopped at. Toilets/showers (3mins for $1) water, dump point and blue metal base for the camping area. Shade and nice green grass oval to run the dog on. We could not believe the facilities and there was lady cleaning the toilets when we arrived.

If you come in from Ceduna (Eyre Highway) you are following the rail line. Keep going past the IGA Police station and it will be a left turn that also takes you to the sculptures and Gawler Rangers. Please note there are 3 camps in Kimba. The Gums Rest Stop, Central Park and Recreation Reserve. First two are Rotary/Lions maintained parks. As well at The Gums Rest Stop in steel fabricated container on a post is a map of Kimba and information book on what to do in Kimba- how good is that///////
