A giant pink condom has been erected... no, sorry... make that placed over an 18m Sydney obelisk in Hyde Park to bring attention to HIV awareness. Some members of the public welcomed the installation while others were not so impressed. Dunno why. What's wrong with pink?

For any who may not know, "The Hyde Park Obelisk was the first special sewer ventilation shaft built in Sydney and New South Wales, and is the only example of a sewer ventshaft constructed of sandstone within the Sydney Water system
It is also jokingly referred to as Thornton's Scent Bottle".

I wouldn't have thought that the gayBC would have been too afraid to touch this story.
However in view of that report it is surprising that the ABC decided not to report the pink condom initiative.

The array of media experts gathered around our bbq were in emphatic agreement that since the Sydney City Council would have approved the condom and given the ABC's cringe-worthy obsequious adoration of Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore, it (ABC and SBS) would never risk the possible public relations blow-back, even slight, for her.
There was also furious agreement that if Clover Moore ran for the PM's salary as well, the ABC & SBS would be her most enthusiastic backers.
