Seeking Song Suggestions For My Next Residency In The Kimberley

G'day Fellow Grey Nomaders!
Well I'm over the moon as it has been confirmed that I will be returning to Lake Argyle Resort next year (after a year off this year) as their resident muso!
I'm currently at home in Wagga Wagga, saving up my pennies for the trip, taking off in March next year.
I'm seeking some input from you as to what songs (title or style) you like to hear when you stop in at places on your travels?
Music is a very subjective thing and what is someone's cuppa tea may make someone else sick to their stomach!
This is a fine line I tread with my shows - trying to keep everyone of all ages, nationalities and musical tastes entertained.
Taking on feedback from my last stint at The Opal Caravan Park in Lightning Ridge, I have added songs such as "Lights On The Hill" and "On The Road Again" which seem to be popular with most.
I've recently bought a stompbox (like John Williamson) so I can add a bit of a foot beat to some songs so I'm particularly looking for songs that are good to stomp along to as I'm keen to try my new instrument out.
Any suggestions you can provide will be most welcome and as always, safe and happy travels to you all.
Steve

Maybe have a look at "Brothers 3" website. They do some good stuff that might work as solo.

Do you have "Kimberley Moon" already ? Also I would think maybe anything by the Pigram Brothers.
Cheers,
Sheba.

You might include an Irish classic or two, as a tribute to Patty Durack and his family who came from Ireland. Enjoy, its a fantastic place!

Hi Steve
I've got 68 albums of Slim Dusty
Slim Dusty made 106 records so you have plenty of songs to choose from

Loved your song Living the Dream, really good. For your show, as well as your ownn stuff you may want to consider Paul Kelly is a great Australian songwriter with some insightful lyrics and great tunes. Although they're kiwis most of the stuff by the Finn brothers in whatever format is great. Unplugged stuff from AC/DC, the Angels is great for singing along to. Shane Howard (Goanna), Colin Hay (Men at Work) the list could go on - so many great artists, so many great tunes, not enough time to hear them all.
Regards
Dave

Steve you have a great voice, I think Graeme Connors songs are popular with many, I can say this from my days as an FM radio Host, where Connors songs were often requested. Good luck with it all Steve......Kisha.

You have to play to your audience, luckily most grey nomads remember the great songs of the 50's and 60's
Myself I like country . With limited time its best to sing songs that were popular and well known. Plenty of Cash with some better know Dusty
Marty Robbins has some great sing alongs.

I am with Sheba, if you are up in the NW nothing like The Pigrams' I love Nowhere else but here, but I love all their stuff! Take a look at the Ted Egan stuff too, he has written and sung some really wonderfull songs about real situations/people.
I may well be up that way myself some time next year too, so I will look out for your shows!
