Went from Milang (home) to Pt Broughton (SA) to a free camp at Crystal Brook, then Nuttbush Retreat, then that magnificent rock called Pildappa, where we meet some fantastic people (from this forum), then Elliston via the Haystacks (more amazing rocks), then Kimba where our caravan had an altercation with a tree, then Nuttbush again, Quorn, Melrose, Laura, Mallala then home.
Burnt the brakes out by leaving the handbrake on (gee that was dumb!) CIL are looking at my claim. It was fun towing the elephant home with no electric brakes, no ESC and only the gears and tug brakes.... Not real happy with myself at all.
This lifestyle suits us and we love it.
However, there was nothing like the BIG hugs we got from our grandchildren when we got back home. Makes my day that stuff.
Take care and stay excited as Billeeeeeee would say.

You passed through my town of Laura. I love this place, very friendly. Did you go on the Heritage Tour or tour through the Golden North Icecream Factory. You get free icecreams that way lol. In the next town of Gladstone there is the Goal you can go look around, we got married there lol.

Hi Grams
Unfortunately there were no tours at the time we were there, only had one day at the CP, we both love golden north as well.
Laura is heaps friendly and the lady at the information centre most helpful. I picked up an iced coffee stubby holder, the only one I have seen.
Thanks for the post.
Cheers

How,
Sounds like a great trip for sure Phil. I hope you didn't loose the needle when at "Haystacks". I will get all through there one day in the future for sure.

Dougwe, it is one of the most magnificent sights I have seen, equal only to Pildappa.
We will be returning in the distant future after a few trips up the Murray.
WOW
What a trip we have just completed.
