My left eye macular-degenerated needing an operation a few years ago.Its getting worse but not much can be done according to the specialist. It is constantly out of focus. My right eye can see an ant somersault at 100 metres so I must save it from any macular degeneration! I happened to find comments about eye health benefits from using/drinking saffron on a google browse recently. Saffron is expensive but I bought 1g for $14 in the supermarket. I put about 10 15 strands in a cup of hot water and drink it once a day. You MUST NOT use more than 23mg a day(about 10 or so strands). Can I now see an ant somersault at 200 metres? No. Im Simply trying prevention instead of cure to keep my right eye OK.
