Welcome and a very nice rig.
Are 5th wheelers very hard to hook up/unhook for older people?

Why is it that people think hooking up to a fifth wheeler is hard look out the rear view mirror and you can see the hitch , can't see the tow ball under the rear bumper isn't that' harder ???
Give me a fifth wheeler any day

The only one I have seen that was hard to hitch up was one where the turntable in an F250 was mounted lower than the top of the tail gate. He would have to back up the vehicle until the hitch pin was within the tub and then his little wife would go under the van and push the tail gate closed. She then had to vacate the space before he could back up and engage the pin. If you are getting an American ute then order it with a cut away tail gate so the cut-away will clear the hitch.
As woody said, isn't it easier to back up when the hitch in view than when it is buried way down at bumper bar level? You will find that many times the van si at the correct trim when you unhitch. Hitching up is then just a matter of backing under, when the hitch engages it auto locks. It's then just a matter of getting out, checking if it's OK and attaching the umbilicals.

Missed this one earlier. When did Venture and Winjana amalgamate? Their respective web sites indicate their factories are nearly7 km apart by road. I have been informed that the people who set Winjana up were disgruntled employees of Venture.

Thanks Peter D and Dunmowin.
Wood n Sue, never having had a 5th wheeler and knowing nothing about them, my simple question was "are they hard to hitch up" not that I think they are hard to hitch up, perhaps when you are 15 years older than your are now (like I am) and have health problems you will understand why I posed the question.
