they are an excellent rig..
but why do people go for 5th wheelers taking up all that nice space in the back?
the back of my rodeo is always full of chairs, small genny and fuel, BBQ, wood, chain saw, Tool Box etc

Nah, don't do that cos Glenelg is on his way, yippee. See ya out here somewhere mate. I have a few bottles of RED ready. Mmmm, that's if they last till then of course.
I know what you are about to go through though and I tell you that for free. Just hope you don't do a dougwe and "crash" at the end of it. I am coming good though.
See ya soon mate.

I remember some years ago doug, we took a company trip to South America - Brazil, for a week there touring on Buses going to factories, eating out in BBQ and Seafood restaurants, drinking all sorts of beers I've never heard off or could read.. yellow label, red label and green label.. we went to Iguaçu Falls and RIO .. took helicopter flights over Christ the Redeemer and going up steep mountains in cable car out over the sea.. it was incredible..
I was worried that I was going to be exhausted after the first few days but nope.. we were wide awake the entire time...
but then we flew out of Brazil and back to New Zealand where we broke off with the rest of the tour.. we flew into NZ at around 5am.. drove down to a place where we did "Black" what rafting.. after that we had to drive around to Rotorua.. well, we got about half way there and BANG!! crash and burn... I couldn't drive any further and the mrs couldn't keep her eyes open so we had to sleep at a gas station for a few hours..

Depending on the pickup date we may even go via Greens again on the way over, as we get a leadup time table we may leave a couple of weeks early & have a slow trip over. If its early Dec then it may be vise versa, see when the time comes.

I've been to Rio Blue so I know what you are saying !!. Still you shouldn't post photos like that, it's not good for an ol' man's heart !!!

I have a water bed in both Tassie and here in Cebu. Fantastic to sleep in. Wish I could figure out a way to put one in my MH. I remember when they first came out, I saw a full page advert in a Perth Newspaper and the story line was: "You can do two things better in a waterbed, and one of them is sleep"......
Dave...when are you going to post a photo of the new tug and rig ?

I'm sure you will be very happy with the Dmax Dave. I was impressed when looking around.

I thought you wanted to talk about your new wheels...
the Isuzu's are a fantastic car... they never "over power" them
they build them for longevity.. Full Stop...
in the Defence Forces with the 110 Rovers, they had the Isuzu motors in them... they get driven like rentacars day in and day out.. you just can't kill them unless you do something wrong... like DROWN them..
and the silly AJs did that on the odd occasion..
with the new DMAXs they've made them 2 inches bigger inside compared to the older Rodeo's, Colorado's... HUGE difference..
they upped the power by 20 NM of Torque from 460 to 480 (correct me if im wrong)
but, get this.. the Strengthened the entire motor to make it Bullet Proof... Thicker sleaves, heavier con rods and bearings etc etc
they are a bloody beauty of a rig

that would have to be one of the best nights out I've ever had..
great entertainment by the girls, the bands, the dancers...
I was out of beer early in the night and had to wave one of the waiters over.. and from that point on whenever he saw my glass nearing the end he came over and filled it up.. we weren't meant to tip any of the staff but I gave him a $20 anyways.. shhh
