I am a dedicated reader of Techies Corner sub-forum and I have made the following statement previously but thought I would put it here as friendly feedback.
My favourite threads are the "electrical threads" - better than watching World Championship Wrestling.
I have yet to figure out which one is Hulk Hogan and which is Killer Kowalski and/or who actually wins - if anyone does. But the 'muscle flexing' is definitely entertaining.
And for the contenders - I find the 'information' and 'advice' provided on here so far above my uninformed head, and therefore (as an 'electrical moron') bordering on useless, I simply just go to an auto elec or sparkie and would not bother asking an electrical question on here.
Cheers - John

I can't speak for others, but I pitch my responses at a technical level. This way I avoid talking down to people and thereby offending them. If a layman's explanation is needed, I can adjust my response accordingly. I just need appropriate feedback from my audience.

As I have mentioned before, I am very hesitant to give advice on 240 volt installations. Electrical work should be carried out by a Licenced Electrician and I don't want to give advice that might encourage a member/s to attempt work illegally on 240 volt installations.
I also only give advice on simple low voltage matters (12 volt) as my knowledge is limited in this area. Since becoming a MH owner, I have learnt a lot about low voltage, solar and auto work, but still I'd rather leave the advice giving to those on this Forum suitably qualified...

I agree John, I had a burnt out fuse connection that was preventing us staying out without power any longer
For 2 days at a time ,we came in to Horsham to recharge our batteries and lo and behold across
the road was a auto electrician . $59 &1hour later all fixed ,happy campers all round and ready to
Go. The extra advice on fishing areas to go to came for free ...... But I'm sworn to secrecy
Gday...
