God's own country out there. Certainly a very special place.

Well, tell him from me, Shekon. he can't have it back. Anyway, the thing about Uluru is that it sits on a massive desert plain which makes it difficult to judge its size, so that graphic is very informative, Rocky.

Agree with Gary - great graphic Rocky. Also agree with Shekon - God's own country - a beautiful place. Good on Australia - we beat them all!!

Yes that sure puts it into perspective haven't thought of it in that way though yes it sure is big claimed it when I was about 11 was going to again 2 years ago on a trip to Alice and the rock looked at it and thought nah perhaps not might need all day to do that now , when I did climb it there was a book to sigh up on top I wonder if those books still exist somewhere ?

I sure know how big it is - from when I climbed it a few years ago - when we went last year we rode our pushbikes aroud - 11.2km!!
Gives a different perspective, so glad I have done both the climb and the ride around. We stopped at all the spots of interest, cave paintings, waterholes etc. Terrific!!
I am not certain of the truth in what I say. I am going on media publications by tourist companies.
