Can't believe some people can be so gullible. I was just reading online about a hoax where a fake website add was telling people that iOS8 now has wave technology and that you can recharge your Iphone by placing it in a microwave oven on high for a short length of time. Some people actually did it and destroyed their phone...
It's like when they brought out an update a couple of years ago. The hoax then was that they became waterproof, heaps of people got caught with that one.

there is always someone designing these hoaxes and someone gullible enough to try it , at least they should try it on low first (joke ).

What satisfaction is to be derived from causing other people grief? I don't get it.

Gary the same goes with virus's on your computer or malware. Some people are just sick in the head and get their kicks out of other people's grief. You only have to read some of the sick moronic comments on a facebook page to commemorate a death of a person who is someones son or daughter or has children.
I watched a video clip on facebook of a collision between a young girl and vehicle in a Caravan Park, It was an accident pure and simple but the sick morons who posted comments re how stupid the young girl was made me sick. She was under 10 and some people need to grow up.

We used to destroy classified data on CD's by putting them in a microwave oven. Spectacular to watch as well.. Would have been easier just smashing them up, but we had to return the destroyed ones for some reason I can't remember now.

One day we may be able to recycle the energy that is normally wasted in mobile phone conversations.
"RF energy is currently broadcasted from billions of radio transmitters around the world, including mobile telephones, handheld radios, mobile base stations, and television/ radio broadcast stations. The ability to harvest RF energy, from ambient or dedicated sources, enables wireless charging of low-power devices and has resulting benefits to product design, usability, and reliability. Battery-based systems can be trickled charged to eliminate battery replacement or extend the operating life of systems using disposable batteries."
"RF energy can be used to charge or operate a wide range of low-power devices. At close range to a low-power transmitter, this energy can be used to trickle charge a number of devices including GPS or RLTS tracking tags, wearable medical sensors, and consumer electronics such as e-book readers and headsets. At longer range the power can be used for battery-based or battery-free remote sensors for HVAC control and building automation, structural monitoring, and industrial control. "
