How,
I'M BAAAAACK!
Shut the front gate!!
I have been on a cruise already and a lovely afternoon tea in Port Fairy, South West VIC Coast. Currently set up camp next to Bass Strait near Warrnambool and sitting out gale force winds. I'm inside and the twins are holding down outside the Avan. I did tie guy ropes to them and attached to pegs in the ground I will prop here until, well, who knows cos I don't, hey, I don't even care.
Even did some business while on the move and cancelled the house insurance etc and ended up getting a better deal on the Tug and Den insurances. I saved $200 per month over all. Should have done this years ago.
This is just the first day. I will decide what to do tomorrow, tomorrow.
I have my thongs though Mmmmm, so do the twins

if you go out North of Halls Gap main street... just before the bridge... you turn up Mt Zero Road
its a dirt road but you can take a 2 wheel drive up there easily as they grade it all the time for people going out to Mt Zero
about 7 Kilometres out, on the right side... there's a place in the trees called "The Plantations Campground"
I was there on the weekend... terrific place and its FREE

Thanks Blue, looks a nice spot but I will be headed slightly Nth East when I leave here (if I don't stay) and hang around there until the Den is ready. It will be just a quick dash back to Melbourne to pick the "Chief" up.

Time now to slow down Doug & smell the roses, or what ever is in season; no I dont mean the twins. Time for new fresh air in the lungs mate.
Well done & enjoy, may see you over that way in Dec. when we pick up our new unit in Adelaide.
Blue;. does that rock outcrop have a viewing area on top?, we were in the Grampians many moons back & looks familiar.Maybe time for another visit.

http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/explore/parks/grampians-national-park/accessibility/plantation-campground2/plantation-campground
its supposed to be $18 a night but you have to drop into the Cultural centre to pay... if they are open at the time you go passed...
they have sectioned off areas and drop toilets.. and also cold showers.. its great..
you can "just" get a Telstra signal there
also, if you are heading west Doug, stop in at the sawpit campgrounds at Narrawong... check it out on wikicamps or on this link

I was there on the weekend... terrific place and its FREE
