Friday and I was collected from the Caravan Park at 11am by Cyril (Dragonfly1) and driven back to his beautiful house in a secure estate near Hope Island. Was shown through the house and walked out to the patio overlooking the canal where the barbeque was well underway cooking our lunch.
Nola had everything under control so we sat there with magnificent views talking about our travelling experiences as you do when meeting up with fellow travellers. They had the house built specifically for two families totally self contained with the garage big enough to fit his large motor home.
Doctor appointments prevent Cyril and Nola from spending more time on the road but hey, living there is no hardship. Could easily take that lifestyle for a few months a year. We had a great time before Cyril decided to drive me back early enough to miss the worst of the traffic. Thanks for an excellent afternoon.
Saturday and check out time at the Garden View Caravan Park just in time to drive up to Nerang to meet up with June (June C), Beth (Beth54) and Pam (travel bug). We had been making arrangements via Private Messages over the past week and it all came together at Bischof Park on Nerang St.
I wore the red hat in case they couldn't recognize me but I suppose most would recognize the whiskery, hairy character that I have become. We had an interesting time discussing their aspirations towards creating a nomadic lifestyle with plenty of questions being asked on a variety of subjects. All in all a very good opportunity for us solos to meet and compare notes.
Sunday and I collected my wife June and visited the Glen Hotel to meet up with the GN group organized by Sharon. What a great time was had by all most of us hadn't met before but that didn't stop us from having fun. Some of the ladies present spent time talking to June encouraging her to travel with me, I hope that the messages got through. The story of the meetup is in the link below
Need a few days to catch up after all the excitement. John

Great meet up everyone, hope June decides to give it a go John.
PS: If she does try to choose a venue that is not raining like last time, good you've got more room now (Coaster instead of Hi Ace). Will keep my fingers crossed.

Vic,
you have a good memory yes we did set off but the rain slowed us down somewhat.
We are looking to next year to do some travelling but then I have thought that before.
She has been encouraged by comments at last Sunday's meet up
