I don't like it either Glenelg - strange that it was extended from 4 to 6 months for the Olympics and here we are - still got 6 months of it.

No mine is dead right (WA time) so the curtains won't fade, etc, etc.
Glad I'm not in the Eastern States and have to change the time on the clocks on the trees in the paddocks for the cattle and sheep so they know what time it is.....oh, and of course the clocks in the chook pens so the roosters know when to crow....

DAYLIGHT SAVING!!! Darn it, we have been in Queensland for ages, now as soon as we get to a forward-thinking state, they go and think too much forward, and we have lost an hour!!!
Thanks for the heads-up Dougwe, we had no idea.

When daylight saving was first suggested in Qld. many moons ago, Joh was the Premier. He reckoned daylight saving was not good for the State as it would disturb the cow's sleeping patterns.... And no Premier since has seen the advantages, particularly in the NSW/Qld. border region..

We are normally NSW people but currently in Qld. Found both my phone and computer changed automatically to daylight saving time today. Had to go into settings for date and time to change it to Brisbane time and to take it off automatic so it could show non daylight saving time. Now all we have to remember is that when ringing friends and family in Vic & NSW that they are an hour ahead of us. Fun!!!
Regards Marg

Daylight saving in Alexandra, Vic started on Saturday at 5pm. So it became 6pm for happy hour. It made sense to us, and we went to bed at a sensible time cos we hadn't lost an hour.....
