Telstra Next G. The package is marked with a blue tick from memory. It gives you the best coverage, but there's still a lot of the country with no signal at all.

I have a 4G mobile dongle from Telstra. Costs me $95 a month (including dongle cost) for 15 gigs. Im on the fringe now but still get pretty quick BB. This is a wifi dongle that works with my ipad, iphone and laptop, all at once if I want.
Costs a bit but worth it.
Safe travels

Telstra/Bigpond is the only one with adequate coverage.

What we do may not suit but it works for us.
We have a Telstra 4g,Blue tick ( regional use ) phone called a "Dave".
Add a roof mounted antenna ( From Olbis in Brisbane ) to the car and we have the best chance of getting out.
The phone can be WiFi hotspot tethered to our laptop.
We also have a Virgin Mobile Broadband deal. ( Optus network )
We had our own dongle and get 12 GB a month, postpaid,no contract for $40.
If we need internet in the middle of no-where then the Telstra phone has the best chance of working.
When we are a bit closer to the highway or near a town, odds are the Virgin works.
Just our way of keeping in touch.

How,
R&S, I think the one you are thinking about is from Aldi. Be aware though, not from experience but second hand, they use part of Telstra network? I have also been told by people that have used it, they drop out a lot, just don't connect or very slow. Only what I'm told.
Me, I use Telstra Next G. I have a iPhone with blue tick for extra rural cover. Through wifi and personal hot spot I connect my iPad or Laptop to the Internet. I have been doing it this way now for about 2 years both on the road and at home. As long as I get cover I have never been let down so far. Sometimes it slows a little if there is a lot of network activity in the area.
Not the cheapest I know but the best cover IMO and being in the playground I reckon cover is more important.
As Gerty said, there are still many places with NO cover but so far I have found those to be many km away from towns and mainly inland etc. If I find too many spots like that and the first time I get into difficulty I will look into a Sat Phone.

Talking computer internet only, not phones.
My travelling companion is a lap top with Telstra Bigpond wireless broadband. It comprises a little black USB device that plugs into the computer, they call it "mobile broadband" I use it at home, and when travelling just take it with me and set it up, quite simple, I'm on a plan for 4 gigs a month for about 40 bucks.
Suggest a visit to the local Telstra shop, or they may fob you off to Bigpond, tell them what you need, they have all the answers, and don't be shy when it comes to arguing the price.
My little 4G USB device plugs into the laptop, works at home, and also away in the van. I check my phone for a signal, if it has one, I know the internet will work, so I set the computer up.
Too easy, just be careful which USB device you need, talk to a good Telstra shop, we need an external antenna at home, so they gave us a specific device for that, which also works without an antenna when away and in a good reception area.

G'day all, I also have a Telstra Bigbond black USB device, and travel a fair bit.
I plug an antenna into it for extra coverage (this works) It is the same antenna that I use for my phone.
Because I have a couple of phones it costs me $29 a month with 4 gigs (this is plenty for the cook and me).
I have travelled with people who have other providers that don't work when they are out of large towns.
Good luck.
