Their has been a lot of comments posted to the Daily Examiner/ Grafton regarding the RV friendly announcement for Maclean. Read the comments put forward by the person who uses the name " John Han****s".
Not all comments posted by people who are for the project appear, as they have been deleted. They were for comments posted opposing John Han****s `s comments.
Asa member of the Clarence Valley Community I can assure you that the business people and the council are very aware of the importance of keeping the Valley alive.
We already have 2 dump points in Grafton..
1 at the Greyhound Track where powered sites are very affordable as are unpowered sites.
and
Another at the showgrounds that also caters for the traveling public with low cost sites both powered and unpowered.
Now with the combined effort of the council and the CMCA there is another attractive camping site with a dump point 35k down the river..
A couple of years ago we had a very agro C/P owner that put so much work into the council regarding free campers he literally s**t in his own nest as he made council aware of the growing number of travelers that the Valley was missing out on..
I am personally very thankful to our Council as they are the major sponsor of the Grafton Country Music Roundup (See link below) and this is because it attracts the traveling public to the city to spend money..
As I have said on many occasions it is a pity that more councils around this great country dont embrace the idea of making us welcome..
Ohhhh and just for the record we are in Mildura at the moment enjoying the Mildura Country Music Festival whose major sponsor is their local council..

Heartening to see a progressive town and Council. I believe anyone passing thru or stopping at McLean, or any other RV friendly town for that matter, should give them total support....

Very true Rod, now it has a new owner and he is prepared to meet the market with TOP quality facilities, it is a welcome change to see..
It is a pity more C/P's dont follow this owners attitude and offer affordable sites so they get some income instead of having empty over priced sites..
BTW.. the park is The Gateway Village.. Feel free to check it out next time you are in the area..
