Glad you were able to "Remember" in what looks like a good setting C1.
You should have had those older uniforms the other day when in "Kelly" Country mate

It's interesting how cops have a strong camaraderie. It doesn't happen in most occupations, like plumbers or accountants or radio announcers. I wonder why that is.

When I was in my 20s and 30s I had quite a few good friends who were cops. At that time they seemed to have a lot more discretion, and were more friendly. But over the years with the new breed, they seemed more strict in policing and became more cop than friend. I'm not commenting from any personal experience after early 1980s as I left Australia to work overseas, but on the occasions I would return to Australia, my non police friends would make these comments. My only experience in the past few years has been with RBT and I always found the Police courteous but strict. I'm talking about traffic now, but I certainly respect the Detectives that are capable with the help of technology, to solve quickly in a lot of cases, the heinous crimes being perpetrated in our society today.

Greetings Copper1
Being on the road, this year was the first I have missed for a long time and the first since retiring - had a quiet moment by myself during the day to reflect - glad you could get to the service - cheers.
Attended a nice Police Remembrance day today here at the Sgt Parry memorial at Jugiong and payed my respects to fallen comrades.
