Its my birthday tomorrow, and today just before lunch, I note the Dining table being set up with food, people arriving, a cake, and suddenly realized its a party. Here it is !! Most parties here have a roast pig, called lechon baboy. Lechon being a BBQ and baboy a pig.
Im not keen on birthday parties now coz there are too many candles to blow out, but I enjoyed it anyway. A couple of selected photos follow
That pig looks amazing BG. Hope it tasted as good as it looks and the rest of the goodies look good too.
I was lucky to enjoy some pig cooked like that once and they basted it in some garlic mix. Yummo.

Happy Birthday Ken!
I just returned from a camp this week and a Filipino Australian lady cooked me pancakes, her husband told me she loved to cook and had decked out his caravan to suit her passion for cooking. The pancakes were delicious !

Thanks for all the good wishes guys and gals. I don't normally advertise my birthday, it's just that I thought some might be interested in Filipino cuisine and the way they do things here.. Oh well, another day in Paradise !!!!!
