We arrived at our local Aldi this morning before they opened and joined the que, we were lucky to get a generator, the chairs, bbq's and matting were just flying out the door, I think they should limit how much each person can purchase at once, but only my thoughts.

Don't think the solar panels were such a great deal, you can get similar folding panels on ebay with free postage.

Our Aldi store was also busy yesterday, with the queue half way down the driveway when we got there at 7.30am.
Seems the folding bikes were very popular, along with the gennies, solar panels and the blow up beds. We purchased a barbie to replace the one that got dented when our camper rolled back in June, and although it still works, Pete feels it may not last all that much longer, so hence our purchase.
This is the second Saturday we have been down at Aldi real early and it is costing us! So .... we are heading off again - away from any Aldi stores - so we can stop spending money.

Not that I wanted or needed any of the sale items but the local store in Sth West Gippsland Vic, was packed to out in the street, no parking spots anywhere near by. Busy Busy Busy. I tied all my feathers back and high tailed it right away from anywhere near the palce.

i don't bother with Aldi gear , well not big ticket items anyway , the wife bought a vacumn cleaner there a couple of years ago , it buggered up in a very short time , no good taking it back to the store they didn't want to know about it , give you a phone number to ring that no one would ever answer .
I know consumer law doesn't work that way , you are supposed to be able to return it to the store , try telling that to someone at Aldi , it just become all to much hassle .

We went to our local Aldi for opening at 8.00am lots of people waiting. Got ourselves the solar panels and our Auto Elect was there getting one for himself. He has a caravan as well. There looked to be about 20 solar panels there. I reckon by 8.30am they would have been all gone.
