Unreal caravan park hidden in the bush south of Manjamup. Nice little town with a great tavern supplying sensibly priced meals. Powered site, town water, great amenities $25/night. Will spend at least a couple of nights here as a base while we check out Pemberton, Windy Harbour, etc. Resident mob of roos are quiet as we've seen, birds singing, very relaxing.
Sounds good Darrell and Sandra. You are certainly a long way from where we last met up. Keep enjoying the "Wild West" and keep an eye out for wombat holes.

Gradually working our way around, Doug. Been looking for wombat holes but have only managed to see their owner so far.

We stayed there in 2010 and I had a ball picking heaps of big blackberries - yum. A good spot and very popular with clubs.

Check out some of these places while down that way, Sue's Bridge, Big River CP, Aborteum (just north of Pemberton), and also Carey Brook in Boat Landing Road. Further along the south coast 21 kms west of Denmark check out Parry's Beach.... All in Camps Book.
When you get down Walpole way just before you enter the town there is a turn off to Rest Point Caravan Park, dogs allowed on leash but not in cabins/rooms etc, but ok for CP. Right on inlet, fishing etc. Nice relaxing park, see;

Did the Pemberton tramway, Northcliff, Windy Harbour today. Tramway was good, Northcliff smaller than anticipated, Windy Harbour totally different to expectations, essentially a jumbled collection of apparently self powered beach shacks. Between Pemberton & Northcliff we dropped into Brockman's sawpit, hell, those blokes did it hard. The Karri & Marri trees are amazing, even more so when told that they're only regrowth from the really big trees logged around the turn of the twentieth century.
Thanks for that, Vic, booked in to Rest Point tomorrow night so that we can check out Valley of the Giants.

Nice shots Darrell and Sandra, there is a great bakery shop and café in Walpole, also the visitors centre on the other side of the road where there is a big car park is worth a visit and a good place to park for big rigs.
Most of the info centre towns on the south coast have free tourist strip maps of the area in general and are worth getting as they are a bit more detailed.

Darrel & Sandra, if you want to see wombats in WA you will need to go to a zoo.

Bugga mate, now everyone will know where to find you. I reckon your days are numbered now before someone finds you.
