No Doug haven't tried it - just thought it looked like an interesting concept.

I use the silver sunshades which insulate well, they have like bubble wrap in them so I guess this is a similar concept but allows light through. Good idea!

I put it on my lounge windows a couple of years ago,and it does work.The glass is cold to touch without it (you can feel the cold coming through the window)with it on no cold coming through.I found it especially good on the bedroom windows.

Top I dea. WE used the shade or sun reflector for motor vehicles. We cut the shade to the width of the windows. Did not worry about the length as the extra length keeps the sun off the van under the window. We then sowed a piece of heavy material to the shade and then sowed a piece of rope to the shade to allow the shade to slide through a channel that we installed above the window. It works a treat especially in summer. Now not sure how it would go in keeping out the cold in winter.
If this does not work in the cold will try bubble wrap. Jay&Dee

During our first summer in South Australia, when I was "caravan bound" we tried all we could think of to keep the heat out of the van, or the cool in when we had the air con going.
We bought an extra car windscreen blind, one from supercheap, and cut it to size for the two hatches in our bathroom. I bound them with black grossgrain ribbon, attached Velcro dots to each corner, and the corresponding Velcro dots to the corners of the hatch. On really hot days, we just Velcro up the new blinds in the bathroom, it really does help keep the room cooler.

I noticed that I have made previous comments on this thread. But I will admit that I did not follow up re the bubble wrap idea.
Has anyone done so and is it a success to keep the van warmer in the height of winter.??
