Leaving Monday for Philippines where I'll be for next 3 months. Back to 33º Celsius every day, although by Christmas winter will be coming on and the temp. will drop to about 32º Up will go the electric bill with aircons running 24/7...
I'll try to stay away from any typhoons this year. Typhoon season is May thru November, so I'll be right in the middle of the season. Last year when Typhoon Haiyan hit the southern Philippines, I was around 200 kms from the center. Very scary. At one stage It looked like it would pass over the top, but fortunately for me, unfortunately for more than 6300 others who lost their lives, it veered south.
I felt quite humble last year with so many people on the Forum posting their concerns about me. The majority of whom I'd never met. I was, and still am, very grateful for that.
Should be at my home in Cebu by Wednesday or Thursday after 1 day in Manila. By Thursday the latest I should have my trusty laptop set up and be ready to ramble on again...

Thank you Alice and I hope you enjoy the cruise. I guess your ship will go into Manila Bay, there is a small pier but don't know if it's big enough for a cruise ship. Usually the bigger ships anchor in Manila Bay and go to shore in smaller boats. I suggest if you go ashore, stay with the ship's tour guide. Not the sort of place you want to be wandering around alone !!!
