Some of you noticed I changed my AV and the twins are now all dressed up. Why?
Well, I have dropped a few hints here and there over the last couple of days and now the AV change. I had a couple of PM's asking If I have gone mad or got rid of my beloved Avan.
So, maybe I have gone mad, some would say I was already that way so what's different?
The Avan is still with me as are the twins but they were sick of being cold and thought they would dress for the occasion. What occasion I hear you asking?
Most of you will know I have been looking around for a new Den and the time has come for the big decision. Yep I have chosen a new Den. I have verbally agreed to a new 19'6" "Chief" Feather Caravan with full Ensuite and single beds. The Chief was the only van I looked at that had that "WOW" factor, for me anyway. It also ticked all the boxes plus a couple of extras. I will be posting pics when I take delivery hopefully in December, all going well, but the one below is very similar, the only visible change will be outside with the front window, due to single beds there will be two smaller windows. I will post pics in "show us your rig" when I can.
I am off to the factory on Thursday to get a guided tour then back to the dealer to organise the finer details and pay the deposit.
The year has been full of decisions that are now all starting to fall into place one by one.

Well done Doug, I can understand the twins putting clothes on down south, soon be able to take them off again.
I had a Jayco "Feather" a few years ago, I don't think they make the Feather anymore (12.5 metres).
Good luck with the new van and hope you and the twins will be happy in it, looks like one of them will have to share only having two beds in it or are you going to sleep on the floor ???

BG, I have learnt from an expert to have a positive attitude so all good. Who is my teacher? The one and only John "yeoeleven".
I must say and as well even, Paul "aussie paul" is a inspiration as well and another positive attitude person.
These two people I call friends have changed my outlook on life in the playground.

Good on you Doug
After looking at different forums on the free camping issues, there are a lot of RV friendly spots that are totally self contained, so it would be a good idea for Chief to put in a grey water tank and plumb it up during the build.
I rang condor and am getting them to install one. One less thing to worry about later and should be cheaper during the build

WOW that was a surprise, did not know you were looking for a new van, you will be ok for Greens at Christmas not to sure about NYE, but if you contact the Greens management and tell them you will have a new van to try out they may reconsider.
enjoy it out in the playground, where have I heard that before?
AND a new AV, you will have to sleep on the floor

Wombat mate, yep a new AV. Thought it time to have a change. Did you notice the twins even dressed for the occasion?
Thanks to a very good mate of mine I even have a update version on the AV but unfortunately having trouble getting it to go live for some reason, never mind I will try on the LapTop as I am on the iPad at the mo.

Congratulations from us too Doug. Checked out those spots you recommended near Townsville.
Got lost finding our way around a couple of times though. So ended up somewhere else.
Townsville is very nice though. Roadworks in and around town were a pain.
Again Congrats on the choice of Van. The playground awaits you.

you need to do it on a lappy not iPad, or maybe its is too big, what is the size restrictions for AV's on this site?
Hey the twins have just got bigger, what are you feeding them on.
