Being a newbie I'm not sure how everything works, but I wondered if there is a chat page or something where GNs can let each other know where they are if they want to catch up? I am in Normanville south of Adelaide, and wondering if there are others nearby? There could be other GNs just around the corner, and you would never know just by visiting the forums. I know not everyone wants company, but some might...?

Hi Sheba,
I haven't yet, will give it a try. I thought that would be for pre-planned get togethers, rather than just random who's-in-the-neighbourhoods, but I'll give it a try, thanks

I guess a CB radio would work, soon find out if there's anyone in range - if they keep the radio on, that is. Do most GNs have 2 way radios?

Welcome to the gang Rudy, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Just keep an eye out on this forum and if anyone mentions they are in or going through your area PM them and let them know you are around.
I think many of us have UHF radio these days to keep in contact mainly with the truckies, in my case anyway. I also have used it to keep in contact with fellow GN's at times. Very rarely do I have it on in Cities or large towns due to the language and morons that abuse the free use of a great tool.

Hi Rudy - try getting in touch through the Private Message system on here (do you know about it?) - with Glenelg (Dave) he lives in Adelaide somewhere, nice bloke - probably like to meet up for coffee or whatever, and a chat. If you don't know how the private message system works, let me know and I will explain.

Hi JC
Your'e not far away, would be good to catch up some time.
I don't really expect folks to go out of their way to meet up, but if another GNer is nearby, would be silly not to say hello! There could be someone you know just around the corner??

Currently on the York for a quick lap, have to be back in Adelaide mid week to finalise so business, then heading south towards Victor Harbour area to meetup with some people before heading home as we have to be back in Adelaide again before xmas.
