Now that we have hit the road full-time this is our setup.
We had a '89 Hilux with the Holden V6 & auto. It did a great job of towing the "van but the ride was like an old dray cart.
This Commodore has the 5ltr V8 & auto. The fuel consumption, towing the 'van is just about the same as the Hilux and way more comfortable
Got the suspension upgraded for towing. That was a good move.
The aluminium boxes & frames have proven very user friendly.
The 'van we have had for a year now. A bit of fine tuning & we are very happy to call it home.
It's 35 years old but must have had very caring owners in the past.
We are still finding things we don't really need to take with us after 2 months on the road. Good thing that we have a friend with a big.empty shed.
