not a nice subject but what chemical can I buy (at BCF) that will break down solid waste. We have a blocked toilet and before anyone asks, its not a cassette or ordinary run of the mill loo, this is a rolling stone special like the rest of the bus.
I need to get something to pour down the loo as we are going to be away from the bus for a couple of months.
thanks in advance

What type ? If it's like house ? The good old fashioned mop plunged into bowl works well..

no not like a house - as I said its a rolling stone special. there is a toilet you pump flush and that goes into the holding tank which is what has clogged up
could not get drain opener from bunnings - have got drain clean - will try that
also have chucked 2 lites of white vinegar down it - maybe should try 2 liters coca cola - they say it rots nails!!!!

Maybe half a container of minimum 34% sodium percarbonate Woolies brand clothes and nappy soaker - it breaks down "solid" product - so well that it is used to "start off" septic tanks! Cheap as well!!!!

Dont know if you have access to a pressure washer, those Karcher type things, my mate had a similar problem with his holding tank on his usa made unit.
You can get a drain cleaning hose attachment that fits on the Karcher wand and can be fed down the toilet or up the holding tank drain outlet, while jet cleaning it as it goes. Wear overalls and have a large container under the outlet to catch the muck as it comes out (and maybe a nose clip) I was shocked what came out of his blockage but now all good. The cleaning hose and jet head are very flexible and will go up or down from either end, just make sure it is well in the pipe before pulling the trigger !
After using his I went out and bought one and regularly blast out my grey water holding tank now.
