Wow, same shot as your second one, ours taken march 2013 - amazing how much it has changed since then. Were you at the lookout for a "blast". Quite an earthmoving experience.

Sorry to hear about your plight Frangipani, nice pit photo's.
I've driven one of those trucks in a past life, they are big alright but not from that distance.

doesn't hurt to have a few days breather fran...
its an amazing pit yes... brings back memories... I've been there twice now with the second time going on a tour into the pit... fantastic
