I don't do this often, but when I do, I think it's special.
Have just had a situation where the air conditioning unit failed in our 20 month old van. It was an Ibis Air Command unit, and, according to the paperwork, had a warranty of 12 months against malfunction, etc.
I sent an email to the manufacturer, hoping to maybe get a reduction on a new one for it not lasting that long. I was surprised to receive an email back from none other than the National Sales Manager, Mr. Aaron Pilgrim. He was a very personable man, listened to my story, and then came right out and said " Technically, it's out of warranty, but I'd be upset if mine only lasted that long, so here's what I'll do.... I'll authorise a COMPLETE replacement , and treat it as a warranty case for you"..
Well... needless to say, I was bowled over by the offer.. and, as good as his word, a brand spanking new unit was sent over to us via courier, and it's now installed and working well.
So, A BIG thank you to Aaron, and Ibis for outstanding customer service and a compassionate treatment of a customer.

Well done - lots of complaints arise about companies - good to see a positive outcome, and from a responsible and reasonable company!

How good is that TB. I was told by a fridge mechanic that came to repair my daughters aircon while I was in Townsville to Make sure I get Ibis Aircon in a CV. After reading that I'm glad I'm looking at vans with Ibis on board.
Thanks for letting us know.

After talking with Aaron from Air Command (ibis) I recently got rid of my useless
Dometic A/C that would'nt cool my 22ft.van, even after fitting a new one under
warranty after 12 mths. Changed to an Air Command Cormorant after Aaron' help
and could'nt be happier. Great Company & employee to deal with.Could never
understand why Coromal changed from them to Dometic ,must have only been price
becauase it certainly wasn't quality

We have a Cormorant (by air command). Were having difficulties in temperature control when outside temps were around 42 degrees in South Australia back in 2012. Van was almost 2 years old, so aircon out of warranty. Went to Air Command (Head Office) in Adelaide, they sorted, changed sensors, we had coffee and watched TV, 1 hour later, all good, no charge, no problems since.
