Continue to get ready now for bad weather from Lancelin to Bremer Bay
Thursday 28 August 2014 - 4:55 PM
If you live between Lancelin to Northam to Lake Grace to Bremer Bay you need to get ready now for the bad weather coming this evening.
This includes people in the Perth Metropolitan area, Mandurah, York, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Narrogin, Katanning and Albany and surrounding areas.
This is typical weather for this time of year, but rainfall is expected to be heavier than normal. Heavy rainfall and damaging winds may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
Absolutely nothing happened up here at Seabird overnight. No wind, no rain BUT it is quite warm so we may get some rain yet. Still too dark to see what the horizon and sky look like.

Nothing happened yet in the burbs just north of Perth (nearly 9AM) but lots of black clouds etc floating overhead.
Jules, the joined town of Port Denison (to Dongara) has great fish and chips opposite the picnic area on the foreshore.

I got caught about lunchtime, wheeling a trolley full of groceries to my car at the shopping centre, I could see it wasn't going to ease off so had to load the vehicle while it was still pouring, just as well I didn't wait as it bucketed down on the way home.
Now 5.30 PM and been raining for about the last hour but not heavily, just constant.......about 12kms north of Perth.

I'ts not much better over on South Side, Bucketed down most of the afternoon, and now at 10.15pm it's still hammering down,
I hear that down South in Donnybrook, the place is flooded,
apparently a bloke lost his ute while trying to cross a bridge, the ute is now down stream somewhere, he's ok thats the good thing.
We had heavy rain for 2 hours from 3.30pm and had almost an inch. The tanks and grass loved it!! Has been lightish and continual since then so it will be interesting to see how much rain we get. The wind was really high (as in tree top high!!) all day with very little down at ground level. Glad it is this weekend and not weekend!!
