Yeah JC, not much different with 9kg bottles
Home in Adelaide at the local car wash $19
Currently in QLD...
Hughenden $40.20
Injune $38
But I guess, if you need it there's not a lot of choice.
And shopping around is probably not worth the 2 or 3 dollars you might save.

I use 2 kg bottes x 3. Cheapest I found for gas was at Stanhope, Victoria. On the road between Shepparton and Green Lake. At a small hardware store a 2 kg. bottle was $6.00. Average $3.00 a kilo. I have been quoted up to $16.00 for 2 kg.. No thanks !!

G'day Guys,
Stratco are $24.90 for a 9Kg now, wasn't all that long ago they were $19.00. There's a place out on Angle Vale Rd at Waterloo Corner that is still at $19.00 for a 9Kg, just have to drive out there to get the bottles filled up. Good thing I've got nothing better to do than get stuff ready for out next trip. .
Regards,
Mike.

One of our companies use 100 000 litres of LPG per month and recently it went up 0.16 cpl..Why? because they can. The Industry is extorted and gouged against the Australian consumer.

Hi All
I have got to tell this short of mine.
Few weeks back I was in Cooktown and really was not happy at the cost of caravan park charges, food and a few other things while I was there, had been there 15 years ago when it was dirt road, things were a bit more harder get there.
Went down to the hardware store needing a second "d" shackle for the safety chain of the caravan as I had lost one, the store had them at $3.20 cheap enough, brought 2 and I asked how much for swap and go gas bottle while I was at it, $22 for a 8 kg. I could not get back to the caravan quick enough and back to the hardware store and to boot the staff were friendly as. Bargain, best thing in Cooktown apart from the beautiful sunset. Ralph
PS. Any help where is the cheapest swap and go in Brisbane, my bottles are getting low on use by date. Most times I use BCF stores for refil.

I try to get my 4kg bottles filled at BCF as much as possible, $13.50. Otherwise Bunnings comes in second.

It does make you wonder what some places buy the gas for,
I went into B.B.Q.'s Galore here in Perth in the weekend,
their usual price or a 9kg refill is $19.95 but this weekend, if you acknowledge them on Facebook,
a 9kg refill would only cost you $14.95 now thats getting cheap !!

Mrs Kelly would not let Ned play with people like that when he was a kid, because they were too dishonest.

One of the reasons I went right away from Gas.
You are reliant on not only the price but the problem of having to find it when it is required as most don't allow for any gas left in the cylinder.

This thread reinforces that decision.
