Thank you for putting this link on here Glenda, I have downloaded the pattern and shall get to make some poppies in memory of all those who put their lives on the line so that we may live in and travel this great land.
Hi there, I had a look at the website but couldn't see the pattern at all. Are you able to post it here. I would love to do some too. Thanks Anne

Hi Annie,
If you go to the link that Glenda put in her thread, you will see at the top of the home page a link to patterns - just click on that and you will be able to download all the patterns for knitted, crocheted and felt made poppies.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that June
It is great that you will help such a great cause Anne
I can't crochet but this is the pattern I am knitting...It is almost the same as one of the downloaded one
Using Red wool
Cast on 60 stitches
Knit 10 rows (not 2plain 2purl)
Change to black wool
Knit 2 tog across row
Slip 1 knit 2 tog psso across row
Break off wool and thread through stitches and sew up
I was using all red wool and sewing a black button in centre......looks good both ways
Enjoy and thanks again

Thanks for that Glenda and June. I went back onto the site and looked properly this time. Found the crochet pattern and downloaded it. I haven't knitted for a long time Glenda, but your pattern seems pretty doable as well. I will give it a go too.
thanks ladies
Anne
