Hi All, I read the entries on here about awning clothes lines and decided to make / buy one. Here is what I found.
Just bought a stainless steel clothes line for the awning. Fits in between the uprights or arms, whatever you want to call them. I priced the fittings to do it myself from Bunnings and they wanted over $40. I went online and found a guy in Sydney who makes them to measure in Marine grade stainless steel. Only need to drill 2 holes in total, one in each arm. Took 5 minutes to install and works a treat.
One cable for $29.95 and 2 cables for $49.95 with free delivery in Australia. Better than I could have made myself, and it would have cost me more.
His email is sales@ropecable.com if you are interested in buying one, and by the way the best thing is it came with a lifetime warranty.

Sounds good Glen, any photos? Do you need to remove it before retracting the awning?
