We sold our property in a rural area - we had four acres, and were nearly always on the ride on every weekend. The name of our van is a no-brainer "Dunmowin"

Hi Roadtourer, I know your excitement, our avitar is our motorhome, never had one before, we have had it now for 6 months and only done short weekends away so far, but the excitement never fades. We call her "Glady's" , this means nothing to enyone else except my wife and I, it just suits.
Cheers
Greg

Thanks guys certainly cannot be rushed and i see some personal names which i love, guess it is something we have to feel and once it comes it will be right. But it's a difficult one too must admit we all got different ideas lol
Grey personal meanings are the best that is what makes it unique! Love it!
Exa41 i agree something that can't be rushed... hmm mind is boggling with ideas tho!
Dunmowin nice and simple too i like it.
sadly it doesnt make it easier but time will tell i guess.
Great ideas all thank you for sharing.

I don't think We've ever called our various RV's a name, a couple of things inside the van (ie; "Jilly Jug" and "Billy Bottle") but that's about it.
Have used the odd sticker now and then or had a decal stuck on the van of a bird or something, but never a name.

Our motor home is called Maggie after Eve's late Mum Margaret!
I have a 250 Suzuki Burgman which "bolts" onto the back of Maggie and her name is "Betty".....Betty Burgman.
Oh dear, we must be getting old and senile :(
I've gone from GTHO Falcons and Kawasaki 1300's to Motor homes and scooters all in what seems a blink of the eye !!

I think a name just comes to you when it feels right. I originally called my rig Chateau Mobile but thought it was a bit clumsy so I changed to Pride and Joy which I've shortened to PJ.

Richo mate, I reckon if you go with the first one people might think you are that way inclined and could get you in a bit of strife.
If you do use that one maybe you could get it painted like the Wicked mob's wizbangs and they would get the blame
Another thing, you could always put a sign down the bottom saying, " Designed and painted by Wombat"

Hey Sarg! I saw your van somewhere - yeah I know sounds dumb, but I did and I can't remember where it was, but thought what a great name!
Our first van, we called 'The Woodshack' and this new van is called 'Our Hootchie' - it's the name the guys gave their tents in the army, and as Pete's ex-army, that's the name for our new little home.

Lol at too 70s, roadtourer. My 1987 van gained her name from the shop my son worked at, from where she received a mini-makeover in the form of 6" 'flower-power' daisies and the shop's own 'Daizy' sticker fore and aft. Seemed appropriate for an "aging hippie".
Now of course every time I get behind the wheel I think of the film "Driving Miss Daisy".
