I was wondering what battery life others get from their devices before they have to charge them again.
SWMBO has a Toshiba Laptop 2009 model that gives only about 3 hours of battery life in use, but a new Toshiba laptop/notebook she has gives 10 hours battery life use before re-charging, also has a visible battery gauge on the desktop showing the level of battery life remaining.

Hey Vic
The iphone lasts about 36 hours but its used often with work for phone call only.
The Apple lap top also about 36 hours but recharges quickly.
The ipad which I use mainly as a reader lasts forever but also takes forever to charge.
My son told me to let the batteries run as low as possible before recharging otherwise it builds up a memory or something which I do because I know very little about the workings on these things.

HI Bryan
That does not apply to the batterries now in use [most are lithium types ]
The so called memory effect only applied to NiCad batterries.

I reckon you may be right there PeterQ, and battery technology is really racing ahead in leaps and bounds...

Do you know what battery life you get out of your items (in between charges ???).
PS: Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated.

We get about 24hrs with the Samsung tablet and the Ipad, depends on the number of calls on the phone but at least 16hrs and the Toshiba laptop about 3hrs, even with the big battery pack, before we used to get 1.5 hours

Vic I have a Laptop that I normally run of the charge pack as it's a full on Gaming unit and the power draw is that much that it runn's down over 2.5hrs off the charger..
So due to the fact that I have the system I do.. I'm not worried about the fact that I use it off the charger..
